Day 1: Sun Oct 19 - Welcome to Morocco

Transfer from Marrakech Airport / Stay: Boutique Hotel Marrakech

Upon arrival, you'll be greeted at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Take the day to explore the vibrant streets, colourful souks, and rich culture of Marrakech.

Day 2: Mon Oct 20 - Through the Atlas Mountains to Ait Benhaddou

Distance: 80km / Stay: Ksar Lamane Aït Benhaddou

The adventure begins with a morning transfer into the stunning Atlas Mountains. A scenic two-hour drive takes us over the Tizi-n-Tichka pass, one of Morocco’s highest paved roads. Once past the main highway, we start riding on peaceful country roads, following the breathtaking Ounila Valley through striking rock formations and historic kasbahs.

A stop in Telouet allows us to visit its impressive centuries-old fortress and enjoy a picnic in the gardens. From there, we cycle through a picture-perfect landscape of Berber villages, lush green valleys, and dramatic canyons, eventually reaching the iconic fortified ksar of Aït Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site where we’ll spend the night.

Day 3: Tue Oct 21 - The Road of a Thousand Kasbahs

Distance: 100km / Stay: Riad Sahara Stars Dadès

After a morning exploration of Aït Benhaddou, we begin riding along the legendary "Route of 1000 Kasbahs." Passing through the lush palm groves of Skoura and the fragrant Valley of Roses—where thousands of roses bloom in spring—the journey takes us deep into Morocco’s heartland.

Our day ends in the spectacular Dadès Gorges, where we unwind and prepare for the next stage of our Moroccan adventure.

Day 4: Wed Oct 22 - Into the Heart of the Todra Gorges

Distance: 80km / Stay: Riad Dar Bab Todra

Today’s ride takes us into the dramatic Todra Gorges, where towering rock walls reach over 300 meters high while the canyon narrows to just 30 meters. This breathtaking landscape, famous for rock climbing, is one of Morocco’s most awe-inspiring natural wonders.

Day 5: Thu Oct 23 - From Mountain Canyons to Sahara Sands

Distance: 120km / Stay: Orient Desert Camp

A long but rewarding ride leads us toward the vast Sahara Desert. Arriving in Merzouga, we trade bikes for camels and ride into the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. As the sun sets, we settle into a luxury desert camp for a magical night under the stars.

Day 6: Fri Oct 24 - Crossing the Draa Valley

Stay: Riad Africa

Rise early to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the dunes before enjoying a well-deserved breakfast. The journey back to Marrakech takes us through the vast Draa Valley—Morocco’s largest oasis—past desert landscapes, rugged Anti-Atlas mountains, and the cinematic city of Ouarzazate. We cross the High Atlas once more via the Tizi n'Tichka pass before arriving back in Marrakech.

Day 7: Sat Oct 25 - Unveiling Marrakech’s Hidden Gems

Stay: Riad Africa

A local guide leads us on a half-day walking tour through Marrakech’s fascinating Medina. Discover the bustling souks, the historic Ben Youssef Madrasa, the lively Jemaa el-Fna square, and iconic landmarks like the Koutoubia Mosque, Bahia Palace, and El Badi Palace. The rest of the day is yours to relax or continue exploring.

Day 8: Sun Oct 26 - Farewell Morocco

Transfer to Marrakech Airport

After an incredible journey through Morocco’s diverse landscapes, it's time to say goodbye. We’ll arrange transfers to the airport for your onward flight.

A native of the Rose Valley in southeastern Morocco, he now calls Marrakech home—an ideal base that allows him to explore the Atlas Mountains, the Atlantic coast, and the Agafay Desert, all within a short ride.

  • This getaway has been curated for riders who have experience road cycling and are looking for a bit of a challenge. You should feel comfortable riding for extended hours on the saddle and handle climbs at your own pace. There will be a support vehicle in case you need a break and prefer the comfort of an air-conditioned minibus.

  • From Montreal, we recommend catching the following direct flights with Air Transat:

  • We’re keeping the group size intimate, with a minimum of 6 participants and a maximum of 12.
